For those traveling Economy Class you will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 20-23 kg per piece and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm per piece and 273 cm combined. If you are traveling Business Class you will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 30-32 kg per piece and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm per piece and 273 cm combined. Passengers traveling First class will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 32 kg per piece and 40-64 kg in total. Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Air China

Irrespective of which class you are traveling on, you are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage with you on the flight at no extra charge. The maximum weight for carry-on baggage must not exceed 5 kg, with a total dimension (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

Air China Special Luggage Requirements

Air China Seating Options

Air China offers 3 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Air China has a distance of 34 inches between seats. Seats on some flights have seat back screens, and seats on the A330 aircraft have AVOD entertainment facilities. Seats on all flights have audio channels available.

Business Class

Business class seating on Air China has a distance of 42 inches between seats. Seats have working tables, personal lights, power points and many flights have personal entertainment screens.

First Class

First class seating on Air China has a distance of 62 inches between seats. The seats have the same features as those in business class, but with increased space and privacy. The seats can swivel to face each other for ‘work mode’ and recline for ‘sleep mode’.

Traveling with Pets on Air China

Flying with your pets can be a safe and fun experience if airline rules and regulations are followed. Live pets can only be transported to countries where the regulations of the country permit, and subject to the terms and conditions specified by that country. Air China In-flight Service, Beverages, and Meals

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, Air China offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers a selection of in-flight movies, either on overhead screens or seat-back screens. On the A330 aircraft, an AVOD (audio/visual on demand) system is available. Audio channels are available on all flights. Food, drinks and snacks are served according to the length and time of your flight.

Business Class also offers a selection of movies, and an AVOD system is available on the A330, A340 and B747 aircraft. This includes a wide variety of audio, video and gaming options. The food supplied will vary according to your flight but a typical long-haul flight will include a main meal with a choice of Oriental and Western cuisine, snacks, and a light meal. Again, the light meal will have a choice of main courses. A selection of beverages is also available, including wines.

First Class also offers a selection of movies, and an AVOD system is available on the A330, A340 and B747 aircraft. This includes a wide variety of audio, video and gaming options. The meals in the first class cabin are similar to the business class menu, but there are extra appetizer courses and extra choices available. The standard of food, snacks and beverages available is generally higher than that available to business class passengers.

Air China Fleet

Air China operates a fleet consisting of Airbus and Boeing airplanes. Their fleet consists of Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330, A340 and Boeing B737, 747, 757, 767 and 777 aircraft.

Air China Lounge

Air China lounges are fully operational in Beijing, Hong Kong, London and a number of other cities.

Air China lounge access is available to passengers traveling First or Business class, Air China Phoenix Platinum and gold members and Star Alliance Gold members.
