Cathay Pacific offers 3 easy options for check-in:

Airport Counter Check-in: Check-in for your flight in the most conventional manner by stopping by the Cathay Pacific counter at the airport.

Next Day or Advance Check-in: This option allows you to save time and check-in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance of your departure time via the internet. To check-in online, visit Cathay Pacific’s online check-in page. After checking-in, you can print out your boarding pass and proceed directly to the security gates if you aren’t checking any baggage. If you have to check baggage be sure to stop by the Cathay Pacific counter.

Electronic Kiosk Check-in: For those who want to bypass the lines at the counter on busy travel days, Cathay Pacific offers check-in services for passengers via electronic kiosks. Typically, these kiosks contain Cathay Pacific signage on them and are located near the Cathay Pacific counter. This service is available at Hong Kong, Amsterdam and 13 other airports. Checked Luggage Restrictions for Cathay Pacific

For those traveling Economy Class you will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 20-23 kg per piece and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm per piece. If you are traveling with an infant, you are entitled to an additional item of checked baggage, not exceeding 23 kg, and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 115 cm.

Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Cathay Pacific

If you are flying Economy Class, you are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage with you on the flight at no extra charge. The maximum weight for carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kg, with a total dimension (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

For those flying Business Class, 1 piece of carry-on luggage is allowed, with a maximum weight of 10 kg, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

For those flying First Class, 1 piece of carry-on luggage is allowed, with a maximum weight of 15 kg, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

Cathay Pacific Seating Options

Cathay Pacific offers 3 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Cathay Pacific has a distance of 31 inches between seats. The seats are fixed-back shell seats, which means that if someone in front of you reclines their seat, it doesn’t intrude on your space. Seats have 9 inch widescreen TVs.

Business Class

Business Class seating on Cathay Pacific has a distance of 60 inches between seats. The seats are electronically operated and have integrated massage function. They also convert into fully flat beds. Extra storage is available, and individual 10.4 inch entertainment screens are provided.

First Class

First Class seating on Cathay Pacific has a distance of 79 inches between seats. The seats convert into 81 inch long beds and also have massage function, a drop down side seat, increased privacy and private mood lighting. Individual 10.4 inch entertainment screens are provided.

Traveling with Pets on Cathay Pacific

Cathay Pacific In-flight Service, Beverages, and Meals

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, British Airways offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers entertainment on 9 inch screens. The program consists of movies, audio, television programs and games. On some flights AVOD (audio/video on demand), offering an increased channel choice, is available. A variety of regional and worldwide foods are available, and meals are served at appropriate points during the flight. Snack foods such as ice cream and cup noodles are also available, along with a wide variety of beverages.

Business class offers an entertainment program on 10.4 inch individual screens. The program consists of movies, audio, television programs and games. On all long haul flights AVOD (audio/video on demand), offering an increased channel choice, is available. Noise canceling headsets are provided. Multi-course, trolley-served meals are provided during the flight, along with a wide range of snacks and beverages including cocktails and fine wines.

First Class offers entertainment program on 10.4 inch individual screens. The program consists of movies, audio, television programs and games. On all long haul flights AVOD (audio/video on demand), offering an increased channel choice, is available. All meals for first class passengers are cooked to order so you can choose what you would like to eat, and when. A wide variety of beverages are also available, including wines, cocktails, and hot and cold drinks.

Cathay Pacific Fleet

Cathay Pacific operates a fleet consisting of Boeing and Airbus airplanes. Their fleet consists of Boeing 747 and 777, and Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft.
