As a general rule on China Airlines, you probably won't have to pay for any baggage. To or from Canada (or the US), passengers are able to check two bags of up to 50 pounds each in Economy and 2 bags of up to 70 pounds each in Business and First class. To and from other destinations have a more strict policy, but first bags will always fly free. Also, their carry-on policy is the same as most other airlines: one bag and one smaller personal item.
