Infants without a purchased seat are entitled to an additional item of checked baggage, not exceeding 10 kg, plus a collapsible stroller.

Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Ethiopian Airlines

You are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage with you on the flight at no extra charge. The maximum weight for carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kg, with a total dimension (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Ethiopian Airlines has a distance of 32 inches between seats. The Boeing 757 aircraft have audio channels available for passengers’ enjoyment and some flights have seat back screens.

Business Class

Business class (called “Cloud Nine” on Ethiopian Airlines) seating on Ethiopian Airlines has a distance of 44-57 inches between seats. Seats on some flights have seat back screens providing entertainment. Most aircraft have audio channels available for passengers’ enjoyment. Audio channels are available on B757 aircraft.

Economy Class offers entertainment which varies according to your flight. From the in-flight magazine, to a selection of audio channels, including the in-flight relaxation channel, to a selection of movies and short programs there should be something to entertain you. Meals depend on the length and time of your flight but three-course meals, snacks and a selection of drinks are provided as necessary.

Business class (also known as “Cloud Nine”) also offers entertainment according to your flight. Some seats have seat back screens which offer on-demand entertainment including games. Audio channels are available on most aircraft. Food and drink options also vary according to your flight, but meals are served from an a la carte menu, including traditional Ethiopian dishes, and provided with fine wines or champagne if desired.
