Finnair - Introduction
|
Founded in November of 1923, Finnair is the largest airline in Finland and its national flag carrier. Finnair is headquartered in Vantaa, Finland and flies to 65 destinations making it the dominant airline for both domestic and international air markets. More than 8 million passengers were transported by the airline in 2006 alone. Finnair has had no accidents claiming fatalities or severe aircraft damage since 1963. This ranks Finnair as the "second-safest" airline of all time; the first being Qantas, based in Australia. Finnair flies to Asia and North America. It also is extending services (introducing Embraer jets) into Europe. |
