Garuda Indonesia offers 2 easy options for check-in:

Airport Counter Check-in: Check-in for your flight in the most conventional manner by stopping by the Garuda Indonesia counter at the airport.

Next Day or Advance Check-in: This option allows you to save time and check-in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance of your departure time via the internet. To check-in online, visit Garuda Indonesia’s online check-in page. After checking-in, you can print out your boarding pass and proceed directly to the security gates if you aren’t checking any baggage. If you have to check baggage be sure to stop by the Garuda Indonesia counter. This service is currently only available for domestic flights departing from Jakarta.

Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Garuda Indonesia

You are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage with you on the flight at no extra charge. The maximum weight for carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kg, with a total dimension (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

Garuda Indonesia Seating Options

Garuda Indonesia offers 2 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Garuda Indonesia has a distance of 30-35 inches between seats, depending on the aircraft. Some of the aircraft are being refitted and the seats on the A330-245 and B737-800 aircraft have individual 9 inch touch screen TVs with audio visual on demand entertainment.

Business Class (called “Executive Class” on Garuda Indonesia)

Economy class seating on Garuda Indonesia has a distance of 41-74 inches between seats depending on the aircraft. The new business class cabins on the A330-243 have lie-flat seats with a 74 inch seat pitch and 180 degree recline. These seats also offer personal screens, laptop power and individual lights. Business class seats on other aircraft have a seat pitch ranging from 41-58 inches, and some seats have seat-back TVs.

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, Garuda Indonesia offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers free newspapers and magazines to all passengers. In addition to this, some aircraft offer in-flight entertainment. The Airbus A330-341 and Boeing 747-400 offer movies and short programs on cabin screens, as well as audio channels for each seat. The Airbus A330-243 aircraft offer audio-visual-on-demand entertainment with individual screens for each passenger providing a selection of movies, TV programs, music albums and games. Snacks, hot meals and drinks are provided according to the length and time of your flight. Typically on an international flight of more than two hours, a hot meal with two choices and a selection of drinks will be available. Garuda Indonesia operates a fleet consisting of Airbus and Boeing airplanes. Their fleet consists of Airbus A330 and Boeing B737, B747 and B777 aircraft.

Garuda Indonesia Lounge

Garuda Indonesia lounges are fully operational in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, and Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali.

Lounge Name access is available to Executive Class passengers, Frequent Flyer Platinum and Gold members, Members of Executive Card Plus and Garuda Indonesia Citibank Credit Card holders.
