Korean Air offers 2 easy options for check-in:

Airport Counter Check-in: Check-in for your flight in the most conventional manner by stopping by the Korean Air counter at the airport.

Next Day or Advance Check-in: This option allows you to save time and check-in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance of your departure time via the internet. To check-in online, visit Korean Air’s online check-in page. After checking-in, you can print out your boarding pass and proceed directly to the security gates if you aren’t checking any baggage. If you have to check baggage be sure to stop by the Korean Air counter.

Checked Luggage Restrictions for Korean Air

For those traveling Economy Class, you will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 20-32 kg per piece and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm per piece or 273 cm combined. If you are traveling with a child under 2 years old, you are also allowed 1 extra piece of baggage, not exceeding 10 kg and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 115 cm.

Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Korean Air

Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage on the flight at no extra charge. The maximum weight for carry-on baggage must not exceed 7 kg, with a total dimension (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

For those flying Business class, or Panorama Club members (irrespective of travel class), 1 piece of carry-on luggage is allowed, with a maximum weight of 10 kg per bag, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

Korean Air Seating Options

Korean Air offers 3 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Korean Air has a distance of 34 inches between seats. Seats recline to 120 degrees, and have personal TVs. Some seats also have USB ports for recharging electronic devices.

Business Class (called Prestige Class on Korean Air)

Business class seating on Korean Air has a distance of 50-74 inches between seats. Some seats recline to become fully flat sleeper seats. All seats have personal TV screens. Seat type varies between flights. See Korean Air’s Prestige Class Seat information page.

First Class

Traveling with Pets on Korean Air

Flying with your pets can be a safe and fun experience if airline rules and regulations are followed. Live pets can only be transported to countries where the regulations of the country permit, and subject to the terms and conditions specified by that country. Pets can often travel on flights with you in the cabin, in the hold as checked baggage, or in the hold, as cargo.

Korean Air In-flight Service, Beverages, and Meals

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, Korean Air offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers individual screens with AVOD (Audio Video on Demand) systems, with a wide choice of viewing and listening options, as well as games. Western, Chinese, Japanese and Korean meals are provided.

Business Class, also known as Prestige Class, and First Class offer the same entertainment options as Economy class, but on larger screens. Top class meals are served, prepared by a first class chef and served on luxurious tableware. Top quality wines are also available.

Korean Air Fleet

Korean Air operates a fleet consisting mainly of Boeing airplanes. Their fleet consists of Boeing 737, 747 and 777, and Airbus A300 and A330 aircraft.

Korean Air Lounge: KAL Lounge

KAL Lounge is the official airport lounge of Korean Air. KAL Lounges are fully operational in 13 cities, including Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

KAL Lounge access is available to First and Business class passengers, Skypass Million Miler, Morning Calm and SkyTeam Elite Plus members.
