Lufthansa offers 4 easy options for check-in:

Airport Counter Check-in: Check-in for your flight in the most conventional manner by stopping by the Lufthansa counter at the airport.

Next Day or Advance Check-in: This option allows you to save time and check-in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance of your departure time via the internet. To check-in online, visit Lufthansa’s online check-in page. After checking-in, you can print out your boarding pass and proceed directly to the security gates if you aren’t checking any baggage. Electronic Kiosk Check-in: For those who want to bypass the lines at the counter on busy travel days, Lufthansa offers check-in services for passengers via electronic kiosks. For those traveling Economy Class you will be allowed 2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 20-23 kg per piece and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm. Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Lufthansa

For those flying Economy Class, 1 piece of carry-on luggage is allowed, with a maximum weight of 8 kg, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

For those flying First or Business Class, 2 pieces of carry-on luggage are allowed, with a maximum weight of 8 kg per bag, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm per bag.

Lufthansa Seating Options

Lufthansa offers 3 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Lufthansa has a distance of up to 32 inches between seats. Seat types vary depending on flights but seats on long-haul flights typically have seat back screens and ergonomically designed seat tilt.

Business Class

Business class seating on Lufthansa varies between flights but on long-haul flights the seats in business class convert to fully flat beds. They also have laptop power points and entertainment facilities on individual screens.

First Class

First class seating on Lufthansa is available on long-haul flights only. The seats have a distance of up to 92 inches between them and convert into 2 m fully flat beds when required. Individual screens provide a variety of entertainment options and power points are available.

Traveling with Pets on Lufthansa

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, Lufthansa offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers entertainment on long-haul flights consisting of individual touch screens enabling a variety of film, television and audio options. Meals and drinks are complimentary but vary according to flight time, length and destination. On some flights movie snacks are also offered during the main entertainment program.

Business Class offers a comprehensive programme of entertainment thanks to the enhanced Lufthansa Media World. The four categories WatchEnjoy, ListenRelax, StudyPlay and SurfLufthansa can be individually downloaded on long-haul flights. Business class offers a high standard of food and beverage options, including an individual Express Menu and a ‘Breakfast-to-go’ option.

First Class offers a comprehensive programme of entertainment thanks to the enhanced Lufthansa Media World. The four categories WatchEnjoy, ListenRelax, StudyPlay and SurfLufthansa can be individually downloaded on long-haul flights. The meal and beverage options vary depending on your flight but fine dining is available on all long-haul flights, and on some flights the menus are prepared by star chefs. Lufthansa Fleet

Lufthansa operates a fleet consisting mainly of Airbus airplanes. Their fleet consists of Airbus A319, A320, A321, A300, A330, A340, Boeing B737, B747, Ebraer ERJ-195, BAe Avro RJ85, and ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft.
