Malev Ticketing and Check-in Information

Malev offers 3 easy options for check-in:

Airport Counter Check-in: Check-in for your flight in the most conventional manner by stopping by the Malev counter at the airport.

Next Day or Advance Check-in: This option allows you to save time and check-in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance of your departure time via the internet. To check-in online, visit Malev’s online check-in page. After checking-in, you can print out your boarding pass and proceed directly to the security gates if you aren’t checking any baggage. If you have to check baggage be sure to stop by the Malev counter.

Electronic Kiosk Check-in: For those departing from Budapest who want to bypass the lines at the counter on busy travel days, Malev offers check-in services for passengers via electronic kiosks. Typically, these kiosks contain Malev signage on them and are located near the Malev counter.

Checked Luggage Restrictions for Malev

Malev Airplane
For those traveling Economy Class you will be allowed 1 item of checked baggage, not exceeding 23 kg and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm. For those traveling Business Class you will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 30 kg in total and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm. Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Malev

For those flying Economy Class, 1 piece of carry-on luggage is allowed, with a maximum weight of 10 kg per bag, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm per bag.

For those flying Business Class, 2 pieces of carry-on luggage are allowed, with a maximum weight of 10 kg per bag, 18 kg in total, and total dimensions (L + W + H) of 115 cm per bag.

Malev Special Luggage Requirements

Malev Seating Options

Malev offers 2 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Malev has a distance of 32 inches between seats. The seats have adjustable back and armrests.

Business Class

Business class seating on Malev has a distance of 38 inches between seats. The seats have adjustable back and armrests. Coats and suits may be put in wardrobe closets.

Traveling with Pets on Malev

Don’t forget Flash!

Flying with your pets can be a safe and fun experience if airline rules and regulations are followed. Live pets can only be transported to countries where the regulations of the country permit, and subject to the terms and conditions specified by that country. Malev In-flight Service, Beverages, and Meals

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, Malev offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers a complimentary copy of the in-flight magazine. According to the length of the flight, snacks, sandwiches or hot meals are provided. Soft drinks, coffee and tea are available on all flights.

Business Class offers a complimentary copy of the in-flight magazine. The business class menu has been compiled to represent the highlights of Hungary’s cuisine and winemaking. A cold menu is permanently available outside meal times and light snacks are available during night flights.

Malev Fleet

Malev operates a fleet consisting mainly of Boeing airplanes. Their fleet consists of Boeing B737, Fokker 70 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

Malev Lounge

Malev Lounges are fully operational in Budapest.

Malev Lounge access is available to business class passengers, as well as Platinum, Gold and Silver members of the Duna club.
