Mexicana offers 3 easy options for check-in:

Airport Counter Check-in: Check-in for your flight in the most conventional manner by stopping by the Mexicana counter at the airport.

Next Day or Advance Check-in: This option allows you to save time and check-in for your flight up to 24 hours in advance of your departure time via the internet. To check-in online, visit Mexicana’s online check-in page. After checking-in, you can print out your boarding pass and proceed directly to the security gates if you aren’t checking any baggage. If you have to check baggage be sure to stop by the Mexicana counter.

Electronic Kiosk Check-in: For those who want to bypass the lines at the counter on busy travel days, Mexicana offers check-in services for passengers via electronic kiosks. Typically, these kiosks contain Mexicana signage on them and are located near the Mexicana counter.

For those traveling Economy Class you will be allowed 1-2 items of checked baggage, not exceeding 25-32 kg per piece and with dimensions (L + W + H) not totaling more than 158 cm per piece. Carry-On Baggage Restrictions for Mexicana

You are allowed to carry 1 piece of baggage with you on the flight at no extra charge. The maximum weight for carry-on baggage must not exceed 10 kg, with a total dimension (L + W + H) of 115 cm.

Mexicana Seating Options

Mexicana offers 2 options for seating on their flights:

Economy Class

Economy class seating on Mexicana has a distance of 32 inches between seats. The seats have adjustable foot and head rests but not all aircraft have personal entertainment screens. There are, however, audio channels and complimentary headphones on all aircraft.

Business Class

Business class seating (also known as “Elite”) on Mexicana has a distance of 36-38 inches between seats. The seats differ depending on the aircraft, for example seats on the Boeing 767-300ER recline 160 degrees and those on the Airbus 320 recline 100 degrees. The seats on the Airbus 330 and the Boeing 767-200 are electric bed-seats and have personal TV screens. Audio channels and complimentary headphones are available on all aircraft.

Flying with your pets can be a safe and fun experience if airline rules and regulations are followed. Live pets can only be transported to countries where the regulations of the country permit, and subject to the terms and conditions specified by that country. Mexicana In-flight Service, Beverages, and Meals

Dependant on the flight, and type of aircraft, Mexicana offers a wide variety of food, beverage and entertainment options.

Economy Class offers up to 10 audio channels and complimentary headphones. In addition, on flights over one hour where there is an entertainment system, movies and/or TV programs are shown. Some flights have personal screens and others use overhead screens. Meals and snacks are provided, according to the duration and time of the flight, and there is a selection of complimentary hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the flight.

Business Class (also known as “Elite”) offers the same entertainment options as Economy class. Again, headphones are provided free of charge, and movies or TV may be shown on individual or overhead screens. The menu is created by top chef Enrique Olvera and accompanied by a list of fine wines. A wide selection of complimentary beverages is also available throughout the flight.

Mexicana Fleet

Mexicana operates a fleet consisting of Airbus and Boeing airplanes. Their fleet consists of Airbus 318, 319, 320, 330 and Boeing 767 aircraft.

Mexicana Lounge: Mexicana Elite Lounge

The Elite lounge is the official airport lounge of Airline Mexicana. Elite lounges are fully operational in 11 cities, including Mexico City, San Francisco and Vancouver.

Elite lounge access is available to passengers flying with Elite Class tickets, Santander Mexicana Platinum Card members and some Frecuenta members.
