The Qatar Airways Fleet
|
Flying one of the youngest fleets in the skies, Qatar Airways is planning to more than double its fleet size to 110 aircraft by 2015. The airline has built a reputation of introducing new aircraft into its fleet to offer travellers the most up-to-date in-flight services. In 2003 Qatar Airways made history becoming the first airline n the world to pass IATA's IOSA safety audit. Qatar Airways in 2006 became the launch client of the Airbus A340-600, a High Gross Weight aircraft. Inventive onboard features such as dedicated First and Business Class lounges for premium cabin passengers were specially designed for travellers to take a break and enjoy the flight experience. The airline has also become the first international airline in the world to introduce live digital satellite TV. At 35,000 feet these television systems are directed to every passenger on their individual seatback. |
