OVERVIEW After you fly 3 sectors or 3 have credit card transaction on your SAA Voyager Credit Card, you will receive a Membership welcome pack with a personalized Membership card. Members will receive a Voyager newsletter and great promotional opportunities. You as a member will need to select a PIN number that will allow you to play in the Voyager Program giving you access to various self-service facilities. Remember to properly protect your PIN number, as it is the key to their account. To obtain lost a PIN, use the SAA website, call the Voyager Service Centre or send a fax or email to request a new one which will be sent to you via the post, SMS or e-mail. To register with the South African Airways Voyager Program please visit the SAA website at www.flysaa.com _______________________________________ TIER STATUS AND BENEFITS The higher your membership status, the more privileges you can enjoy. The number of Tier Miles or Sectors you fly during a calendar year will determine your Tier Status (for the remainder of the qualifying year and the following calendar year). South African Airways offers five Tier Status levels Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Lifetime Platinum EARNING MILES When you fly on South African Airways or use the services of our partners miles are updated in your personal Voyager account. Voyager Miles versus Tier Miles Every time you fly on an eligible South African flight we will allocate Tier Miles to your Voyager account. Miles can be earned whenever you fly with South African Airways, our partner airlines, Star Alliance airlines and when using the services of our non-airline partners such as hotel, lifestyle, financial and car hire partners. Tier Miles determine membership status and help you to progress to Silver, Gold, Platinum and Lifetime Platinum Status. Earning Tier Miles Tier Miles are accumulated for one year from 1 January to 31 December. Your status is valid for the rest of the year in which it is earned and for the whole of the following calendar year. You earn one Tier Mile for each Mile flown on eligible flights. Earning Tier Status through Sector Tiering Tier Status can also be earned through Sector Tiering (flying the required Sectors in Premium Economy (Y), Business or First Class in any of the three distance based zones). Only those flights operated by South African Airways count towards sector Tiering. Earning Miles Earning Miles has never been so simple and Miles can be earned as follows: · Base Miles earned by using Voyagers world class partners · Bonus Miles earned from promotional offers. - Enrolment Bonus Miles receive 2 500 Miles once your first activity is recorded - Business and First Class Bonus Miles entitled to a class bonus of 25% when travelling in Business Class and 50% when travelling in First Class when travelling on South African Airways - Tier activity Bonus Miles Silver, Gold, Platinum or Lifetime Platinum members Tier activity Bonus Miles will be a percentage of the actual Miles flown. - Special promotions Bonus Miles you may receive extra Miles during special offers presented from time to time - Appreciation Bonus Milesreceive additional Bonus Miles. 2 000 Miles will be allocated to your account for every 10 000 Tier Miles flown on South African Airways only. - Threshold Bonus Miles every time you qualify for a higher Tier Status. The number of Miles allocated varies dependant on the Tier Status achieved. Missing Miles It is essential to keep all the relevant documentation including original boarding passes, copies of airline tickets, copies of e-ticket receipts, car rental and hotel invoices/documentation. Miles earned can only be credited for a period of six months from the date of transaction. The relevant documentation(s) should be submitted in a timely manner. Expiry of Miles Miles are valid for three years after the year in which they were earned. Miles due to expire will always be reflected on your Mileage Summary. Miles will expire each year on 31 March. Awards can be requested before Miles expire and can be used anytime within 12 months of date of issue. However, if not used they will be forfeited. For further information please visit www.flysaa.com SPENDING MILES You can exchange accumulated Miles for benefits, such as flights, car rental, leisure and lifestyle benefits. Your Miles can also be used for flight Anyday Awards and Mileage Keeper Awards. Mileage Summary When earning and spending Miles, you have the ability to track your activity on your Mileage Summary as well as have your Mileage Summary posted or emailed to you. You can also access your Mileage Summary on our website at www.flysaa.com . It is too possible to request a fax copy from our Voyager Contact Centre or call the SAA Voyager Contact Centre to obtain your account information via 24-hour Voice Response (IVR) system.
