Albany, the capital of New York State, is rich in history and heritage. Settled in the early 1600’s it is home to many historical homes and buildings that date back to its beginning. It is also home to the largest public modern art display in America and has numerous theatres, museums and galleries to explore. The population is 93, 963 (2006 Census) and is located just south of the Hudson river making it an old gateway and trading town founded by Henry Hudson.
