Columbus Information
With a population of 711, 470 (2000 Census), Columbus is the capital of Ohio state and also its’ largest city. When traveling, the Short North area is great to visit due to its’ many art galleries, restaurants and shops. Also the University area is great for those looking for pubs, bookstores and music stores. Columbus is home to two large Universities, Ohio State and Franklin, as well as, Columbus State Community College and many other educational institutions where approximately 100, 000 students are collectively enrolled. For those who love the outdoors visit Big Darby Creek, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, or the many parks and gardens the city has to offer. There are many sports teams and games to watch in Columbus. It is home to many major league and college sports teams including the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
