Another essential to see is the Dunedin Chinese Garden; there are only 3 in the world outside of china.  Centered around a large lake and with several structures within the Garden, a tea house, study and a pavilion, it is peaceful please to visit, at least once in a life time.

To find other culture in the city, you could go to a few Art Galleries, or even museums to freshen up on you history as well.  The Speight Brewery offers tours around the building that has been a landmark since 1876.  At the end of the tour, if you are of age, there is beer testing.
