Medicine Hat is known to locals as "The Hat" and to Canadians as "The Gas City", referring to the numerous reserves of natural gas beneath it. Now with a population of more than 56,000, Medicine Hat has much to offer residents and visitors alike. The city is located in the Southeastern part of the province of Alberta, Canada and is dominated mainly by the South Saskatchewan River Valley.
