Not only is Nanjing the capital city of the Chinese
province Jiangsu, it is one of the most important cities from part present and
the future. It is has the largest
national transportation, research, education and tourist destination center,
and has been for years. With history of
being the capital for 6 dynasties, there are many historical landmarks and
attractions to visit.
There are plenty of day activities such as visiting
historical sites such as the Linggu Temple.
This was built in 1929 in memory of soldiers sacrificed in the War of
Northern Expedition. Also there are
several museums and art galleries around Nanjing that display new and old arts
and cultures. Also established in 1929
was the first national botanical garden, in memorial of Sun Yat-Sen. A landscape so beautiful that there is no reason not to go see it.
For the night life and thrills take a boat ride down the
Qinhuai River and visit the restaurant, bars and clubs that bloomed with
patrons and visitors at night fall. Also
over the years of being a popular vacation destination, a few commercial strips
and malls have been opened and stay open late down Hunan Road.
In spring you can, watching the flowers and trees
blossom, in autumn the dramatic change in colours. In the summer, enjoy the lovely weather and
the beautiful gardens and parks, and in the winter everything is covered with a
light blanket of snow is breathtaking.
