Known as the home of the Women s Rights Movement , Rochester, New York is rich in history. Home of the Women s Rights Hall of Fame and National Historic Park, Rochester was the site where the first women who were convicted of the crime of voting and spoke out for women s rights in the late 1800 s. There are many lakes and waterways in Rochester. There is Lake Ontario and Lake Candace and the Erie Canal and Genesee River to name a few.
