Flights to Syracuse
Named after its similar city in Italy, Syracuse, New York is located on the central part of the state of New York. Its population is 147, 306 (2000) with a metropolitan area of close to one million. There are different neighborhoods to explore. University Hill is where the University of Syracuse is located and it is one of the major employers in the city. Armory Square is located in the downtown core and has many restaurants, bars, and shops. Little Italy has all of the Italian amenities one would need with Bakeries, pizzerias and restaurants. There are two Jazz Festivals held in Syracuse each year that have attracted popular jazz artists. The New York State Fair is held in Syracuse every summer and draws many tourists to the event.
