Also known as La Habana, Havana is the major commercial center, port and capital city Cuba.   There are over 2.1 million (2006) residents making Havana not only the largest city in Cuba but the largest region in the Caribbean.   Visit the detailed architecture that rage eras from Neo-classical, Baroque, Art Deco, and Modernism. 

Take a tour in the town, and try to take in all the history and culture you can.  Go and stop by in a few museums and take only a glance at what this culture has gone through.  Try the Museum of the Revolution or the Museum of fine arts just to list a few.   When visiting the city, make your own history and take as many pictures as you possibly can.  Take pictures of your loved ones and travelling companions on your journey and the breathtaking backgrounds.

Visit a few of the many monuments and attractions around the city.  Take a stop by Revolution Square, or even admire all the old cars that are still driving about.  As Havana main industry aside from tobacco and sugar, tourism hits at a high spot.  There are tons of little shops where you can purchase hand painted portraits of buildings and famous Cuban’s.  Jewelry made out of rocks, shells, seeds and twine, everything has its own character. 

Local artist wonder the street looking to tourist for inspiration.  There is no need to pause; the artist will sketch you in a matter of seconds while you’re walking.   It’s a great keepsake.
