Mandate
Flight Network requires a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to build and lead Flight Network's global marketing initiatives. The CMO will contribute significantly to shaping the growth of the company and will be responsible for all aspects of marketing with a strong focus on Online marketing (SEM, SEO, Display, Test and Target, and Analytics). The CMO will also be responsible for traditional offline marketing initiatives to developing the brand with Agency partners as well as to drive sales.
The CMO will manage a current team of 15 skilled and motivated employees and contractors.
This position reports directly to the CEO.
Position Overview:
Strategize: Maintain, build and drive the overall marketing strategy. Identify and implement new and emerging online marketing opportunities. Coordinate the strategy, planning and execution of the marketing initiatives. Collaborate with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Team and Offline Marketing Agencies teams to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
Lead: Lead the company's initiatives for all aspects of the Marketing Department, including Marketing Operations, Leadership of the SEM team, Advertising Agencies, Branding, Public Relations and Partnership Marketing relationships. Lead the planning, development, and execution of the online marketing strategies to support the company's business priorities, marketing objectives, and P & L goals.
Optimize: Understand key metrics of measurements for all campaigns and programs. Collaborate with Technology Team to define, scope, and drive product requirements and ensure the technology roadmap is aligned with the overall business goals. Understand the importance of return on investment.
Budget Control: responsibility and management of the marketing budget
Position Requirements
Skills and Education:
- BA or MBA preferred in business discipline with a focus on marketing
- 8+ years of executive marketing experience with a focus on marketing
- Proven high level experience in Search Engine Marketing (Pay Per Click especially)
- Experience in leading and managing a talented marketing team
- Proven track record of conceptualizing, developing, and managing high revenue generating online marketing programs
- Experience with sales and marketing budgets, P & L, and forecasting
- Understanding of brand architecture and brand management disciplines and working with agencies to achieve brand goals
- In depth understanding of consumer level advertising and creative services
- Extensive knowledge and experience with on online marketing analytical tools such as Omniture or Google analytics
- Experience setting up reporting systems to track key metrics, forecast tracking and results optimization
- Skilled in analyzing large volumes of data and marketplace information to draw insightful conclusions and building both short term tactics and long term strategies
- Outstanding verbal and written skills, with the ability to present data, conclusions and recommendations in an organized, concise manner at all levels throughout the company
- Ability to work independently and possess the initiative to follow through on all aspects of a solution
