Maui Vacation Guide

Maui may be Hawaii's second largest island, but for everything else besides its size, it is far and away the clear winner. The island is said to epitomize all the natural beauty that Hawaii is famous for, and once you get here, you'll find it easy to see why. Vacation packages to Maui will have you snorkeling and scuba diving to explore the incredible marine life, taking in spectacular views from the crater at Haleakala National Park, driving through the jungle down the twisting Road to Hana, and watching for humpback whales just off Maui's west coast.

Once you've had your fill of the island's natural attractions, Maui's towns are equally charming and offer you limitless ways to spend your vacation days. You can shop for presents at Lahaina, tee off on Kapalua's golf courses, ride the waves at Paia, and while you may not find any poetic verses in Haiku, there is plenty of old-world atmosphere and no touristy vibes whatsoever, making it the perfect place to discover Maui off the beaten path.

Although it is often said to be one of the most romantic places on the planet, vacations to Maui can also be a great choice for families, retirees, backpackers travelling solo, and pretty much everyone else. So don't think twice about it. Jump on board and prepare for the best of Hawaii to blow you away.

When to Go and Weather

Maui's geography has a lot to do with what kind of weather you can expect when you visit. So while you may encounter heavy rains on the east coast, you will find a completely dry and arid environment in the centre of the island, while the western shores enjoy plenty of sunny skies.

Stormy weather is to be expected from November to March and this is when Maui receives most of its rainfall. Most tourists avoid visiting during this season altogether, and choose to book vacations to Maui during the summer months instead. If you want to avoid paying peak rates from June to August or during the Aloha Festival which is held from September to October, book cheap package deals in the April to May shoulder season.
