Sitting pretty on the Costa del Maresme, Santa Susana is lined with golden, sandy beaches and the sparkling blue waters of the Mediterranean. History buffs can still visit two of the seven imposing watchtowers built here between the 15th and 18th centuries to protect the town against pirates while nature lovers will enjoy long walks exploring the numerous parks and nature reserves in and around the town where you can easily find an hour or two of perfect tranquillity away from the bustling beachfront activity.
Although all inclusive vacations to Santa Susana are their most expensive between June and August, the beaches here start getting crowded from April onwards, and tourists continue to stream in right until September. If you're looking for nothing more than sunny skies and the best beach atmosphere you can find, book vacation deals during this time but be sure to make your travel arrangements as far in advance as you can.
When winter rolls around, vacation packages get a lot cheaper and despite the cool weather and occasional showers, you can still enjoy a few hours of sunshine on the beach. Before you book, make sure that the places and attractions you plan to visit remain open through the off-peak season as many local establishments close down when there are fewer visitors around. In order to get the best of good weather and affordable vacation packages, plan a trip in the shoulder seasons in October or March.
