There's the stunning shoreline to start with, and from then on Sosua just keeps getting better. Whether you're on a weekend getaway with friends, nursing a broken heart, or just here to forget the real world for a while, Sosua's incredible nightlife has options for everyone. Don't be surprised if the town seems more European than you expected. Many visitors fall in love with Sosua while on vacation here and have subsequently made this beach town their permanent home.
Snorkeling and diving spots are plentiful and the calm waters here are perfect for first-timers to explore the underwater reefs and colourful marine life. You can also revisit Sosua's Jewish history, and many descendants of the settlers who fled her after World War II still remain to carry on family businesses in the town. Hike, bike, or zip-line your way through the forested interiors of the area, or just eat and drink your way through vacations to Sosua, sampling as many of the town's restaurants and bars as you possibly can.
If this is your first trip to Sosua, beware of persistent 'propinas' who which offer to show you the sights, get you a great deal on the day's exchange rate, and provide a variety of other tour-guide services. There is always an additional fee attached to these offers and unless you agree on a pre-determined amount, you will most likely end up paying much more than you expected to.
