72 Hours of Great Beaches and Atmosphere in Tampa

Along the coast you will find beautiful sandy beaches, the sunny weather never disappoints and the atmosphere oozes of the best Florida vibes with also a vibrant city feel at Tampa Bay and Saint Petersburg. Tampa is definitely a destination for the entire family, and we are here to help you figure out just what to do while spending a sunny vacation in this destination.

Day 1:

Starting a vacation you might still feel a little stressed from finishing work and getting ready to travel abroad, so the perfect way to start this vacation is with a little spa action. We suggest you start at Spa Luxor Medical Massage & Wellness Center. You can bring the entire family, although the puzzles in the rooms are best for kids over 12. But this is a guaranteed way to have some exciting fun during your vacation in Florida!

We bet you worked up a little thirst while playing some thrilling escape games! So how about some happy hour or karaoke? Head to Double Decker Tampa which is known as the best party in town and as Tampa Bay’s best karaoke bar. Always something fun going on all days of the week, so check out the schedule for your visit to ensure some fun on your first night in town!

Day 2:

Let’s start this second day off with a little history at Henry B. Plant Museum. You will find the museum in the 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel which used to be a Victorian railroad resort, and it is now a National Historic Landmark. You will see the actual furnishings which the guests who first visited this resort got to sit in. The museum reflects some of America’s history and the vision of American transportation pioneer, Henry B. Plant.

For lunch you’re also heading somewhere really special, Edison Food and Drinks Lab. This is really one of the best restaurants in Tampa and with a frequently changing menu in order to feature just the best seasonal products, you are guaranteed to always get exciting flavor experiments and inventive cuisine. You will find the best and most popular of everyday food engineered into current, modern cuisine. And the best part is that it’s served up in an unstuffy casual neighborhood spot. Open for lunch every day, you simply have to go try it out!

Another fun thing to teste out while in Florida is cigars. How about some of the best cigars and coffee in town? If that sounds like a good afternoon to you then head to King Corona in historic Ybor City. The cigars are handmade, and the coffee is some of the best in town. If you are more in the mood to bring home a couple of cigars then you can also head to Tabanero Cigars. These cigars are also hand made with a passion for the craft and with a reflection in their Cuban heritage. Definitely worth a stop on your trip!

Next up, some more delicious food at Zudar’s on Platt. Located in Hyde Park this local and chef owned restaurant is a favourite in town. Not only is the food delicious, but the bar is fully stocked with some of the best craft beer and wine. This is a place to go for burgers and wings and a chill evening where you can unwind in a friendly atmosphere with casual food.

To end this wonderful second day in Tampa another stop that has to be made is at Markets for Makers. Every second Thursday they host an excellent night market in Tampa where you get an opportunity to come support local makers while maybe having the chance to bring home a special souvenir from your Tampa vacation. You can find anything from handmade candles to bakers. It is a wonderful way to spend an evening of shopping under the magical Floridian moonlight.

Day 3:

Maybe start this second day with more venturing around town exploring or maybe lounging at the beach. Then when you feel ready for some lunch head to Columbia Restaurant. With a long history in Florida this restaurant has in fact been owned by the same family since 1905. So not only can you come for delicious cuisine, but also be sure to experience some culture and history. They have different locations, so find the one closest to you.

For your last day we suggest you soak in a bit more history from this area. A great place to do just that is at Tampa Union Station. Located on the east side of downtown the Union Station was constructed in 1912. It used to serve as a “front door” to people arriving by train in Tampa, and therefore holds a lot of memories and history. Today, it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and it is a City of Tampa registered Landmark Building.

Time for a little more fun this afternoon in Tampa. Another escape game adventure at Can You Escape, and this one is ranked #1 in Tampa and #13 in the USA on Tripadvisor. There are multiple different rooms to choose from that are suitable for everyone. You are bound to have some exciting fun for 60 minutes while you try to figure out how to escape these brilliantly designed rooms.
