Bucket List Worthy
What do Jennifer Aniston, Mick Jagger, Mark Wahlberg and Britney Spears have in common? They’ve all rented luxury villas and escaped the demands of life by taking a vacation. Their number one priority? — posh accommodations, fabulous locations, privacy and concierge services.
Celebrities, Rock Stars, politicians and CEO’s routinely hire vacation concierge to plan their exotic getaway. You may not be a celebrity or a rock star, but that doesn’t mean you can’t vacation like one.
Luxury Retreats, a luxury villa rental company, makes everyone a Rock Star. And, why shouldn’t they? Vacations should not be taken lightly–we only get so many in our lifetime–so why not make it incredible.
Part of the thrill of any adventure is choosing the perfect destination. Once you conquer where to go, you narrow it down to one of the thousands of handpicked villas that have all undergone a 100-point-inspection. And guess what? You don’t have to do it alone. Luxury Retreats has a free 24/7 concierge and villa specialist to assist you in selecting the perfect getaway, no matter where you are. They offer over 3000 amazing properties worldwide and not only cater to the rich and famous but offer a new concept for a group of travelers looking for the best deals.
Do you have a bucket list of exotic places you would like to see before…well you know… you kick the bucket? Unfortunately, age doesn’t have anything to do with when we kick the bucket; so perhaps we should celebrate every milestone with gusto regardless of age. That’s what myself and a group of friends decided to do, commemorate a milestone birthday together. Instead of selecting an all-inclusive resort, we opted for a luxury stay at a five- bedroom, five bath villa in the Riviera Maya. The Villa, Casa Prieto, was gorgeous and upon arrival, we were greeted with a full staff, concierge, private pool and rooftop hot tub. Music played in the background, and everyone was offered a cold drink.
The coolness didn’t stop there; the inside kitchen provided vaulted ceilings that went to the roof of the house and a turtle pond with eleven curious turtles who called it home. The downstairs offered an indoor spa room with a massage table, steam room, and Jacuzzi. In-villa massages were included in the experience, as well as a chef for two meals a day, maid service and an all-around great guy named Tomas, who carried umbrellas and chairs to the beach. The staff assisted with any issues or questions and then disappeared for privacy. Villa guest, Ed Brockmeyer summed it up perfectly, as he smiled and asked, “So, this is what it feels like to be a Rock Star?”
Even the owner of the property went the extra mile, greeting us upon arrival, provided sightseeing tips and answering questions. Besides the initial Luxury Retreats concierge, Meghan, who helped the pre-planning, an onsite concierge was readily available and assisted in planning a special birthday surprise celebration complete with singing Mariachi’s who performed for a private villa performance.
The special memories made on this vacation, being together with friends and discovering life, will be treasured forever, but so will the way we spend future holidays. Our vacation planning will be altered forever.
So, what should you do if you want to vacation like a Rock Star? Go online and check out the website. Fair warning… LuxuryRetreats is a highly addictive website– if you only have a few minutes to peruse the houses, you might want to set a timer before you get lost in all the beautiful locations and luxury accommodations. Perhaps that’s what Joe Poulin, founder of Luxury Retreats had in mind when he started his first villa rentals in his parent’s basement in Montreal, at age 17 in 1999. Who says you can’t vacation every year like a Rock Star?
