Have you found yourself frequently dreaming about a beach getaway of late? With this long, cold winter who can blame you! In order to make those dreams a reality, Fodor’s Travel has launched a new online tool to help you find the perfect beach to meet your personal needs. The website takes a unique approach to discovering your specific taste, before offering a number of options to choose from.

Dubbed 80 Degrees, the site first asks visitors what their perfect beach looks like, while presenting a grid of nine options to choose from. Those options come in the form of photos that depict a number of beautiful locations around the globe, each more appealing than the last. Next, travelers are asked what else they would like to see, with another grid of photos to select from. The process continues with such questions as “how do you want to spend your day?” and “what are you doing at sunset?” The final questions ask where readers want to stay, with applicable hotel photos of course, and how much money they want to spend.

After completing the visual questionnaire, the website will compile a list of the top ten beach locations that match the criteria, displaying them in ascending order, with an enticing photo included to help seal the deal. Each of the options links to a Fodor’s guide for the destination as well, providing suggestions on the best hotels to stay in, the best restaurants to eat at, and the top sights to see. There are also tips on the can’t-miss experiences that visitors absolutely must do while visiting these places.

80 Degrees is a fun, visually inviting way to explore the top beach destinations in the world. My personal results included such places at St. Barth’s, the Florida Keys, Grand Cayman Island, and Maui. You’re likely to get similarly diverse options when you work your way through the the beach finder too, with the ultimate challenge actually being figuring out  way to choose which of those destinations you’ll actually visit.
