Beginning and ending in London, this one-of-a-kind trip spans the globe in order to visit some of the most luxurious settings in the world, with the ultimate goal of tasting some of the best wines, cocktails, and liquors available anywhere. But in order to claim a spot on the Ultimate Drink Connoisseurs’ Holiday, you’ll need plenty of free time, and a cool $1.25 million to blow.
The 40-day trip begins with a three-night stay in the five-star Corinthia Hotel in London, where guests will hang out at the Playboy Club, and such other legendary drinking establishments as Park Lane and Mayfair. While there, they’ll get the chance to sample one of the most expensive drinks on the planet in the form of the Legacy cocktail. One of the ingredients is the 1788 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac, which normally will set you back $21,000 per shot. The price for the cocktail itself is a whopping $13,000.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg however, as travelers on this holiday will then set off for Belgium, where they’ll sample Vieille Bon Secours, a beer that costs over $1000 per bottle, before heading on to Frankfurt, Germany where they’ll enjoy $5000 bottles of wine. Other destinations on this 10-city tour include, Monaco, Las Vegas, Lyon, and Dubai.
Holidayplease provides a list of the beverages that will be imbibed along the way, and it consists of just about every rare drink that any connoisseur could ever hope to sample in their lifetime. Included on the menu is a tasting of Grey Goose Gallon, which is a relative bargain at $1000 bottle, and the the Diamond Bader & Garrin Martini, which runs $20,000, and comes garnished with a diamond in the glass. Other highlights include, a sampling of Penfolds Ampoule, an extremely rare red wine with price tag of $185,000 per bottle, and Dalmore Trintas, the world’s most expensive whiskey at $168,000 per bottle.
The trip is all inclusive of course, with accommodations at exclusive luxury hotels, meals at fine-dining establishments, and visits to some of the most exclusive clubs in the world. It isn’t meant for everyone of course, as the $1.25 million cost indicates. Even if you could afford to join the tour, you would still have to be have a true appreciation for the unique alcoholic beverages that will be sampled.
If drinking your way around the world isn’t your cup of tea however, then perhaps you would enjoy the fine-dining trip that Holidayplease has put together. It spends six months visiting 12 countries, with stops in all 107 of the world’s restaurants that have earned a Michelin three-star rating.
