If you think vacations at theme parks and fantasy worlds are only for children, you'll find out otherwise when you book vacations to Anaheim. Reality is easily forgotten as you enter the magical world of Disneyland, and everyone from tots to teens and grey-haired grannies shriek their way through California Adventure's roller coasters. Explore the Wild West at Knott's Berry Farm with its stunt shows and eerie Ghost Town, or line up for your place on aptly named hair-raising rides like the Xcelerator. If the crowds and price tags at either of these don't quite fit your vacation ideas, head to nearby Adventure City which has cheaper tickets, shorter lines, and is perfect for younger children.
Contrary to popular belief, Anaheim doesn't have to be all about the cartoon mice and amusement park rides. You can visit nearby attractions which include the Crystal Cathedral at Garden Grove, Santa Ana's Zoo, the home stadium of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, or head to the water at Laguna Beach, Long Beach, or Huntington.
Anaheim vacations are popular at most times throughout the year, so finding a really cheap time to go is near impossible. Prices skyrocket in the summer between June and August, around Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and any long weekends, making discount deals much harder to find. So the best bet for getting cheap all inclusive deals is to travel during the week or when there are no extended school holidays. Weather-wise, try to book your package holidays between March and May when temperatures range between 23-26°C. Otherwise, you can wait until September or October when schools are in session again, but check the operating hours for the theme parks you plan to visit, as some of them may be open for a shorter period after the summer rush subsides.
