Book Frankfurt Vacation Packages

Its growing status as a nightlife hotspot can easily rival its reputation as a financial hub, and as soon as you arrive, you will see it's clearly not all about business in Frankfurt. Leave the trade fairs behind and enjoy vacations filled with great food, drink, and more entertainment than you can you can possibly fit into one trip.

Frankfurt Vacation Guide

When a city has an entire museum dedicated to money, you know you're heading to a place where life is lived well. From its colossal airport and towering skyscrapers to its glamorous nightclubs and sophisticated restaurants, Frankfurt does things in style. If you're looking for vacations to Frankfurt that are a little more laid back and off-beat, you can find that too. Street vendors selling sausages and schnitzel on the cheap line the streets of the charming Romer Square, there are over 50 museums showcasing everything from art and sculpture to modern communications and Jewish history, and you can have your pick of festivals celebrating German folk traditions, international music, and lots more.

Sample your way through dozens of cheese and sausage varieties at Frankfurt's indoor markets, explore the city's pre-WWII history at the beautiful Saint Paul's Church, look out for discounts at the city's wide variety of boutique and designer stores, or simply park yourself at a strategic point along the Main River and watch Frankfurt's immaculately dressed banking set wheel and deal throughout the city.

When to Go and Weather

Daytime highs in the city can rise to the mid-20s (Celsius) in summer, and this is when most visitors book all inclusive Frankfurt vacations. Planning a summer holiday here will need at least a couple of months of advance planning, or a great deal of luck to get last minute discounts on package deals. Frankfurt's Christkindl markets are a big draw for tourists from November to early-January, and despite the cold, the city's streets are crowded with holiday shoppers and gluhwein connoisseurs, so book as early as you can if you're visiting during this time.

If you're not a fan of the cold, skip Frankfurt vacations between January and March, no matter how cheap a deal you get. With temperatures near freezing and lots of rain, this is not a great time to see the city at its best. Vacations are better planned between the end of March and May or from September to early November when temperatures are in the mid-teens and prices for vacation packages are still quite reasonable. Check to see that your travel dates don't coincide with any major conferences of trade fairs being held in the city as prices for flights and hotels rise quickly around these times.
