Book Lisbon Vacation Packages

As an introduction to Portugal, nothing beats a few days in Lisbon's whirlwind of historic sites, fado theatres, seaside cafes, and incredible food. With an all inclusive vacation package from FlightNetwork®, you can enjoy all the delights of the country's capital with the bonus of knowing you got there on the cheap.

Lisbon Vacation Guide

For every one of its quaint, old churches and cobblestone alleyways, Lisbon also has a gleaming example of modern architecture representing the Portuguese capital's contemporary edge. Set on several hills, the city's neighbourhoods each have vastly different identities that will leave you feeling like you've journeyed through several eras in the span of one vacation. A walk to St. George's Castle through Alfama's winding streets will leave you quite a few calories lighter by the time you reach the top, while a visit to Lisbon's World Expo complex will take you to the fascinating Oceanarium and several of the city's great restaurants. At nighttime, follow local customs and wander down to the local coffeehouse for a post-dinner espresso, or spend your evenings in Lisbon's compact downtown area where you can bar-hop your way through the night.

With vacations to Lisbon, you will never run out of things to do and see. But should city life get too much for you, there's always Cascais just a short drive away where uncrowded beaches and exceptionally good seafood restaurants will grant you some respite from the Lisbon buzz.

When to Go and Weather

Summer is the peak season for Lisbon vacations and with temperatures going well into the high 20s (Celsius), it's easy to see why most tourists choose to visit the city and the beaches nearby during this time. Cheap package deals are almost impossible to find from June to August so you're better off planning a trip between March and May or from September to October, when the weather is still quite warm but there are fewer tourists around. Discount specials abound during these shoulder seasons and if you're looking to take a last minute vacation, these are the months to do it in.

Winters in Lisbon are not too cold, with temperatures ranging from 10-20┬░C on average. However, this is also when the city receives most of its rainfall so if you plan on spending your holiday time outdoors, rethink a vacation here from November to February.
