Manzanillo Vacation Guide
If you're looking to pick up a new skill, why not book all inclusive vacations to Manzanillo and learn how to reel in the biggest catch at the self-proclaimed 'Sailfish Capital of the World'. Even if you're not an aspiring angler, don't despair there's plenty more to do in this Pacific beach town than just fish. The soft, sandy beaches are perfect for sunbathing, people watching, or building castles with the kids, and if you're a water sports enthusiast, you will be spoilt for choice with the wide range of facilities available here.
As one of Mexico's busiest ports, tourism is not Manzanillo's only industry. This means that the town isn't quite as crowded and touristy as some of Mexico's other beach destinations, and you will have plenty of opportunities to walk around and explore the area without being bothered by too many sketchy guides eager to show you the sights on the cheap, or bothersome street vendors offering you a 'guaranteed best deal'.
Although the town enjoys an average of 350 sunny days per year, most tourists choose to travel to Manzanillo between November and April when daytime temperatures range between a pleasant 23-27°C. Holiday packages are cheaper during Manzanillo's rainy season begin in June and continues until mid-November. Hurricane alerts are sounded during this time, but Manzanillo hasn't actually been hit by one since the late-1950s and it is actually other resort towns farther south that receive more of the action. If you're still nervous about the weather, check the forecast before you travel.
Avoiding the peak tourist season will help you get the best deals on cheap Manzanillo vacations. Travelling in May or the second half of November is preferable, when you can enjoy low shoulder season rates as well as good weather. If there's just no way you can shift your vacation dates, bundle your flight and accommodation bookings with an all inclusive package deal and get great discounts on both with a single booking. This is especially worthwhile to do during the peak seasons as this is when prices are highest, and individual discounts are hard to come by.
