Nice Vacation Guide

Few places can compare with the style, sophistication, and scenic locales of the French Riviera. While some may still consider it the playground of the rich and famous, it is also possible to enjoy the legendary sights and atmosphere with all inclusive vacations to Nice which get you there and back on the cheap.

Save your daytime hours for strolls along the Promenade des Anglais and its pebbled beach, exploring the narrow streets of Old Nice (Vieux Nice) shopping for cheap trinkets, and enjoying breathtaking views of the Côte d'Azur from the Colline du Chateau. T he panoramic views make it well worth the effort. Art lovers can choose from museums dedicated to traditional and modern French art, and foodies will think they're in heaven as they indulge in meals of French bread coated in buttery goodness and massive pots of fresh mussels cooked in wine.

As dusk descends, Nice's hip crowd emerges to preserve the city's reputation as one of the best nightlife destinations on the Med coast. Put on your dancing shoes, dress to the nines, and prepare to dive in for the long haul —the odds are you will be having too much of a good time to make it back to your hotel before dawn.

When to Go and Weather

Although the city has fairly mild weather throughout the year, aim to plan your vacations to Nice in the shoulder seasons to steer clear of the holidaying crowds in the peak summer season, as well as the high package deal prices that accompany them.

All inclusive vacations will be cheaper between September and October as well as from March to April. At both these times, you will avoid the heavy rains as well as most of Nice's peak season visitors. November is usually the wettest month of the year, but the rains continue well into January, abating only slightly in time for the Carnival which is held during February and early March. From May to August, you will have to book several months in advance to get bargain deals on Nice vacations.
