If retail therapy isn't quite your thing, Scottsdale is also home to many of Arizona's best spas where you spend all day being pampered with the latest in beauty and massage treatments. There dozens of golf courses in and around the city where you can spend hours on end improving your handicap, and if you're looking to add to your art collection, here is the place to do it. Scottsdale's galleries frequently premier emerging artists whose paintings and sculptures are sold at special discount rates.

When to Go and Weather

The city is in a desert climate and if you're planning summer vacations to Scottsdale, remember to drink lots of water and apply plenty of sunscreen becauase you will be dealing with temperatures in the low 30s to high 40s (Celsius). At the same time, evenings here can be chilly so be sure to carry something warm for nights out on the town.

From December to February, temperatures dip to daytime averages of 18┬░C and prices for flights and hotels spiral upwards around the holiday weeks. There is also more rainfall during this time so you're not missing out on much during this time. Save booking all inclusive package deals until the end of April through to May and from September to October, you can get the best of both worlds with affordable vacation packages as well as good weather. However, if you don't mind the intense heat, prices will be at their lowest in the summertime.
