Book St. Petersburg Vacation Packages

Between its sunny weather and incredible beaches, most tourists don't need much else to book holiday packages to St. Petersburg. But the city has plenty more to offer by way of sports facilities, arts and entertainment events, a wide variety of restaurants and bars, and a great deal more to make your vacation a great one.

St. Petersburg Vacation Guide

With miles and miles of scenic coastlines along the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay, and Boca Ciega Bay, St. Petersburg's biggest attraction is its spectacular beaches. Whether you're looking for a lively shore packed with like-minded sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts, shallow waters where children can safely splash around, or a quiet spot where you can catch up on your reading and snooze the day away, you will find a beach that fits the bill perfectly. You won't fall short of entertainment options while on vacation in St. Pete's and a walk through the downtown area will reveal streets packed with art galleries, theatres and museums. When you're done with the day's sightseeing, St. Petersburg's nightclubs, bars, and restaurants will also leave you spoiled for choice with their wide variety.

History buffs should not miss out on a trip to the Florida Holocaust Museum, art aficionados can drop by the Salvador Dali Museum, and those looking for a relaxed afternoon can find the perfect spot at the centrally located Sunken Gardens. If you're searching for sports and adventure, there are hiking trails aplenty in the Fort De Soto Park area, golf courses, fishing facilities, and even sailboats for rent if that's what how you want to spend your St. Petersburg vacations.

When to Go and Weather

Although reports of more than 360 days of sunshine per year might be slightly exaggerated, St. Petersburg certainly lives up to its Sunshine City moniker. Wintertime sees droves of tourists booking vacations to St. Petersburg to enjoy Florida's sunny weather and clear skies between November and April. If you're not keen on competing with the crowds for a spot on the beach and paying high prices, plan a trip in the shoulder seasons in spring or fall when vacation packages are more affordable and there are fewer tourists in the city.

All inclusive vacation deals are cheapest in the summertime, but between the high temperatures and intense humidity you might not find this to be the ideal time for a beach holiday. However if you don't mind the weather conditions and changing your plans to accommodate occasional afternoon showers, you can make the most of special summer discounts offered by hotels and resorts in the area.
