Victoria Vacation Guide

If you want to feel like you've taken a trip to England without the transatlantic flight, experience a slice of Britain right here in Canada with cheap all inclusive vacations to Victoria. Garden City is a quaint reminder of Canada's colonial past with its English architecture and beautifully manicured gardens. The only tell-tale sign is that the weather here is infinitely better than in perpetually rainy England, and a relatively cheap vacation to Victoria will cost you a fraction of what you would spend travelling across the Atlantic, even at the last minute.

The great outdoors can be enjoyed for days on end with cycling routes crisscrossing the city and a great deal of opportunities for hiking, kayaking, sailing, and diving. Music fans should visit during Victoria's annual jazz festival or in time for the Symphony Splash, and thespians will enjoy a day or two at the Fringe Theatre Festival. For something with a touch of the exotic, cheer from the sidelines at the Dragon Boat Festival. At the end of the day, settle down with a glass of vino from one of the local wineries or drop in on one of the many downtown restaurants for a gourmet meal that will surpass even the highest of your expectations.

When to Go and Weather

Victoria's location on the coast results in some extremely mild weather, especially when compared with the rest of Canada. With the wide range of outdoor activities and festivals on offer during the summer months, the peak time for Victoria vacations is between June and early September.

Winters in Victoria are cold, but the city rarely receives any snow. The frequent winter rains don't deter tourists from visiting Victoria during the Christmas holidays, especially to visit Butchart Gardens' display of the 12 Days of Christmas. For the rest of the season until March, package deals to Victoria are cheap and easy to find, although you'd best come prepared for frequent wet weather and windy days.

To make the most of the city's outdoor attractions and scenic coastline, visit in the shoulder seasons from October to November or from April to May, when temperatures average about 10┬░C and there are plenty of discounts to be had on all inclusive vacations to Victoria.
