Getting There

Nearest airport to Bazaruto Island is Vilanculos airport on the coast of Mozambique from where many of the lodges and hotels offer helicopter transfers. Flying from Vilanculos to Bazaruto Island is approximately 15 minutes. Travellers can come via Johannesburg direct or via Maputo, Beira or Inhambane. Another option is on arrival at Vilanculos, you can take a 15 minutes road transfer via taxi or private cab to the jetty if you willing to travel by boat transfer. Boat journey is approximately of 45 minutes till Bazaruto Island.
