Camps Bay Beach
Trendy Camps Bay Beach in Cape Town may be known as the popular spot to snag a celebrity autograph or hang out with barely-covered sunbathers but it’s also a beach beckoning with idyllic white sand and grassy knolls perfect for relaxation. Set against the backdrop of the majestic Table Mountains and draped with impressive penthouses and swanky apartments overlooking the beach, visitors can spend a day in the sun and cool off in one of the relaxing tidal pools before exploring local sundowner venues.
Camps Bay is a suburb of Cape Town, offering a convenient location only 15 minutes drive to the city center, 20 minutes from the V&A Waterfront, 30 minutes from the Cape town international airport (only 23 km away), 40 minutes from the Cape Winelands and 60 minutes from Cape Point. Car hire is the way to go, but if you’re staying mostly around Camps Bay, walking is a safe option. Hail a taxi for tired feet. Although Camps Bay is well-served by taxis and buses, we recommend hiring your own vehicle. A cruise around Camps Bay lets you ogle the beautiful bodies and scenery.
