Fanning Island

Fanning Island in the Pacific Ocean has two bodies of water, the sea and the famous lagoon centered in the middle of the island. Go diving in the serene lagoon that is home to dozens of protected marine species or relaxes on the beach with a book in hand, enjoying an uninterrupted view of the horizon. Getting There

Tabuaeran, also known as Fanning Island or Fanning Atoll, is one of the Northern Line Islands in Kiribati. The most common way to get into Fanning Island is by taking a boat from Christmas Island, Kiribati. Currently, the only way to get there is by one of the scheduled air services. Air Pacific flies twice weekly from Nadi, Fiji to Tarawa and once a week to Kiritimati. North Americans can easily get a flight to Nadi from Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, and other popular destinations.
