Chesterman Beach

The famous Chesterman Beach in British Columbia is a well-loved local spot, and for good reason! Known for its surfing, Chesterman Beach is good for beginners or longtime enthusiasts. This stunning beach features wides stretches of smooth sand and big driftwood logs – perfect for perching on as you enjoy the beautiful views of cotton candy sunsets over the glassy water. The “w” shaped stretch of sand measures 2.7 kilometers and is ideal for a morning jog or an evening stroll. Getting There

Getting to Chesterman Beach is relatively simple. Chesterman Beach is located on Vancouver Island near the town of Tofino, British Columbia. From Tofino, drive 7 minutes south (4.7 kilometers) along the stunning Pacific Rim Highway. There are parking lots at North and South Chesterman Beach, with a few spots at Middle Chesterman. Street parking is permitted on the beach side of the road as well. Once parked, stroll right off the road down to Chesterman Beach. European travellers can get non stop flights to Vancouver from popular cities like Frankfurt and Paris.
