Santa Maria Beach

A dreamy desert oasis, Santa Maria Beach offers a sprawling stretch of golden sand that spills into the azure waters of a protected cove. As Bahía Santa María is a protected marine sanctuary, the sea life here is thriving and endlessly entertaining. Be sure to bring your mask and snorkel and prepare to spend hours exploring this underwater wonderland. For those who want to dive deeper, numerous diving excursions leave from the Cabo San Lucas harbor.

Getting There

It’s best to head to Santa Maria Beach in a rental car. This beach is located just off the Tourist Corridor where you’ll see signs for the beach around km 12. From there, turn off on a dirt road (about ¼ miles long) that ends in the beach’s sandy parking lot. Direct flights from North America to Cabo leave from Los Angeles, Mexico City, San Francisco and San Diego. Non-stop flights from Canada can be found in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal, and Edmonton.
