Cabo San Juan

If you’re in Colombia to visit Bogota or Medellin, it’s well worth the effort to make your way to Cabo San Juan on the northeast Caribbean coast. But with swaying palms, dazzling gold sands and aquamarine waves — we wouldn’t blame you if you only went to experience Cabo San Juan. It’s located in Parque Tayrona so you have to hike along a trail and through the jungle to get there. But, your effort is well worth it when you sink your feet into the cool sand and gaze upon those seemingly untouched tropical waters.

The closest airport to Tayrona Park is in Santa Marta, Simón Bolívar International Airport. Canadians can fly into Rafael Núñez International Airport, Cartagena, Colombia from where they can get a direct flight to Santa Marta. You can easily get public transport from Santa Marta to Tayrona National Park.
