El Nihuil

Not all beaches are by the sea, and in fact, some of the world’s most amazing beaches are on the shores of freshwater lakes. El Nihuil is one of those magical stretches of water and sand. The lake is large and remarkably clear with surrounding sand dunes that reach up to 200-metres tall and span 30,000 hectares. Visitors can enjoy a number of water and land-based activities, ranging from swimming, hiking, and horseback riding, to fishing, kitesurfing, and canoeing.
