Isla del Sol Beach

Legend has it, Bolivia’s Isla del Sol is the birthplace of the sun. While we can’t quite verify that, we can tell you its beach is one of the best in the world. Home to the Incan dynasty and overlooking the majestic Lake Titicaca, Isla del Sol isn’t just beautiful — it’s teeming with lore and magic. Dry, shrub-covered hills roll out onto a white sand beach, the dark lake water ever-so-gently pushes the pebbles back as nearby boats make waves. It’s an unmissable place if you’re traveling to Lake Titicaca, so take the liberty to book yourself into a nearby hotel and enjoy it for a few days.
