Located 30 km from Labuan Bajo, Padar Island the third largest island in Komodo National Park. Padar possesses a surreal landscape, fringed by bright green-capped mountains of fairy-tale shapes. All of which is surrounded by three turquoise bays. The sand of each bay is a completely different color: One is pearly white, another charcoal black, and a third is a very rare baby pink. This rare combination gives Padar Island a magical charm like no other.
The easiest way to get to Padar Island is by airplane. Fly from your nearest international travel hub to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. Then get another flight directly to Labuan Bajo. There are 4-6 direct flights every day leaving from Denpasar, Bali, to Labuan Bajo, the gate city to Komodo National Park. The flight duration is 1 – 1.5 hours. Shortly after take-off, the beautiful sight of Mount Rinjani will come into view. As you head to the east, you can see tiny green islands surrounded by bands of white sands lie on the turquoise sea.
